- 1 (2-pound) beef tenderloin
- 2 tablespoons of high-quality oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh thyme
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1/4 cup of red wine
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Remove the beef tenderloin from the refrigerator and allow it to rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Season the tenderloin generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
